Fellowes Powershred W-11C Review

Powershred W-11C 11 Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder is a great choice for personal/home office use at a reasonable price. It is very powerful for a low-priced shredder, in addition to documents it handles CD’s, staples, credit cards, cardstock, to name a few. Cleaning the bin is very easy, just turn it upside down since the shredder head comes off from top easily. It is a bit noisy, but this is just a personal opinion which may vary from person to person. Of course, shredders are noisy devices, but I believe this is the most silent shredder you can get for this price.

There’s a handy safety lock switch: if the lid of the machine is lifted, it stops automatically. This is great if you have small children in your house and they happen to stumble the shredder.

“This is the best shredder that I have owned. Two other shredders by different manufacturers were not very good and did not last. This one seems to be a quality piece. It is noisy, but so far that is the only negative I have for it. Of course, shredders by their very nature are noisy devices, so… This machine is very good about pulling paper straight into the shredding blades without tending to wad up on one side and jamming. This was an issue that I had with both of my previous shredders. I have not used it much, so I have only had to empty the waste basket twice.”
